I’m delighted to share some exciting news: I’ve recently joined the Rise Art platform — and I’m especially thrilled to have been selected for Cécile Martet’s Curator’s Picks collection. Additionally, my work The ones who stood still has been chosen as the header image for the collection, as well as being featured within it.
You can view the collection here:👉 https://www.riseart.com/collection/1313/curators_picks

The ones who stood still explores photography as a medium in relation to painting. The work emulates the physicality of photography — not only conceptually, but materially — through scale and the application of paint. Narratively, the work takes inspiration from The Barbie Movie (2023) and the quote "Us mothers stand still so our daughters can see how far they've come"; the work is an exploration of maternal relationships within womanhood — the quiet strength, sacrifice, and generational presence that shape female identity. The painting reflects on female lineage: how women exist both as individuals and as continuations of those who came before them. Stillness, in this context, becomes active rather than passive. It speaks to endurance, visibility, and the structural role women occupy within personal and collective histories.
I've also shared a feature reel on Instagram, discussing the work, featured below. If you’re a collector, gallerist, or consultant and would like further details — including availability, pricing, or contextual information about my wider body of work — please feel free to get in touch. Thank you, as always, for your continued support.
